i take needless joy in making even the simplest things. animals are beautiful because they live hard lives. designs are beautiful because they exactly fit constraints.
an underconstrained design is a waste of material and opportunity.
so i keep going, until it is as functional and modest as can be. the details make my day - creating symmetry. printing documentation on the circuit board. making the indicator lights turn on when you move the switch towards them.
making it into an ankylosaurus.
